Located on New York's only private park, the historic Gramercy Park Hotel was reborn in 2006. Convenient to Union Square, Greenwich Village, Soho, Meatpacking District and the Midtown Manhattan business district, the hotel is situated in one of the cities most lovely residential enclaves. The dramatic two story lobby is a rhapsody of Bohemian chic and opulence; glowing with wood burning fireplace and custom candles. Public spaces are adorned with an original collection of rotating artwork by 20th century masters including Warhol, Schnabel, Basquiat, Hirst, Prince and Haring. The 185 Guestrooms and Suites blend Renaissance colors, bespoke furnishings, and modern luxuries. Rooms feature leather topped desks, tapestry upholstered chairs, 400-thread-count Italian linens, featherbeds, and jewel-toned velvet headboards. Amenities include high-definition LCD TVs, DVD players and iPod docking stations. The lushly landscaped Gramercy Terrace offers unique indoor and outdoor space, with a retractable roof 18 stories above the city. Gramercy Terrace serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. Off of the lobby are the Rose and Jade bars, two of the city's most celebrated glamorous hotspots for cocktails and people watching. Maialino is the hotel's Roman-style trattoria from celebrated chef Danny Meyer.
Gramercy Park Hotel's eclectic design is low key, yet startling, perfected in collaboration with the artist Julian Schnabel. The changing seasons of New York's only private enclave ~ Gramercy Park ~ provides peaceful views for many of the hotel's 140 rooms and 45 suites. Inspired by the rich ambience of the Renaissance, the intimate lobby features a twenty foot ceiling and massive stone fireplace. Gem colored guest rooms feature furniture upholstered in rich fabrics, tapestry, velvet and leather. Beds are dressed in Italian linens, and the dark-hued hardwood in the rooms and bathrooms evoke a warm and intimate feel. LCD televisions, a "best of" amenity collection, custom furnishings and curated artwork provide a luxurious and residential element to the property.
