PORTRAIT SUITES was developed to provide a luxury Italian style town house, where the warm and welcoming atmosphere, the accent on one-to-one relationships and the customization of service make guests feel they’re in their own pied à terre in the capital. The very name - PORTRAIT SUITES – suggests hospitality that’s made to measure, almost as if reflecting each of its guests in their own portrait.
The project has strong affinities with the idea of a fashion atelier, so it’s no great coincidence that it’s located over the new Salvatore Ferragamo Man’s Store in Rome. Though it obviously has its own independent entrance, PORTRAIT SUITES will undoubtedly enjoy harmony with the boutique premises in the same elegant palazzo on Via Condotti.
PORTRAIT SUITES’ original brand of hospitality is palpable on first coming through the elegant entrance and up to the mezzanine floor, or to the rooftop lounge where guests are immediately taken on fine days to enjoy the magical view from one of the high points on Via Condotti - with the Spanish Steps, the Quirinale, the Pincio and Monte Mario all clearly visible.
PORTRAIT SUITES will thus be very special, a dimension of absolute privacy, where friends can also meet around the impressive open fireplace on the terrace and indulge in a glorious sensation of freedom (thanks also to the honor bar). This unique hospitality is in fact a perfect reflection of the warm-hearted character of the city that has nurtured this unique recess of well being.
Part of the PORTRAIT SUITES atmosphere can be understood by studying the intriguing selection of photos scattered around like an informal family album. Portraits of film and fashion celebrities and views of the city and its architecture greet us at every turn, whilst the 14 exclusive Suites and Studios are also characterized by some unusual and timeless elements from the Ferragamo style heritage.
The Suites and Studios, some of which have comfortable living space and all of them a bar-kitchenette, are designed for contemporary travelers and are equipped accordingly: TV, DVD/CD, WI-FI and individually adjustable air/heating system in all rooms. They all have bathrooms with prestige marble and two of them can even boast a sauna and fitness corner.
With its eight studios, five suites and one penthouse, PORTRAIT SUITES aims to become another jewel of top class hôtellerie, in line with Lungarno Hotels’ reputation of exquisite style and disarming understatement. There?s a neat, chic little kitchenette in each room too, with a microwave, minibar, dishwasher and sink, so you can even bring food in to cater for yourself. The minibar is well-stocked with everything from jellybabies to vodka!
