"The resort was absolutely beautiful. Best ever! Staff was extremely friendly. Shows were very poor most nights - only real downfall. Food was good, but nothing great! Maids did not understand English. Maid kept leaving our ground floor patio door unlocked, despite leaving messages in spanish to keep locked. Overall, a great vacation despite the negative comments. Check-in was fastest we ever had, as well as check out procedures. Vacation just wasnt long enough! Beach was absolutely fabulous and was great watching the whales, dolphins and sting rays in the bay!" - Gloria, from Grand Rapids, Mich.

"The experience was good except my room could have been better. The handle on the door our balcony had fallen off, the lightswift case also fell off, the showers continously went from hot to cold, and the beds are like sleepy on a rock. I love the nightime shows. The club Staff are the nicest people and they are all hilarious. i loved Riu jalsico and the food is off the hook."

"Can't say enough about the staff at the hotel. Front desk check in can be a bit tedious but other than that EVERYONE was extremely helpful and friendly. It was nice not to worry about food since you always had options. Food was great." - Lucy, from Fresno, CA

Remarks:
"Check in was very disorganized not clear as to what to do, we and several other couples, took our own bags to our rooms. Our room was nice, but small TV, remote that didnt work, no radio or clock, no in room coffee or tea,for the mornings. Very had beds, with old scratcy sheets. Lots of Food but often cold and could not figure out what it was. The one nite fish assortment was very poor. Went to town for a good fish dinner twice, as we found we were not getting it there. We were bored a lot because we would be busy all day, and coming back it would have been great to have some nice Mexico music. but nothing even early evening, the only thing were childrens games or dancing, and maybe a singer, we were hoping for somthing lively, the play that was held was Grease, and to be honest we can see it played better at the local school at home. The weather was great the water was lovely the beach and bar on the beach was very nice and the staff is great." - Merry from Vancouver, Canada

"The Riu Jalisco, just outside of Puerto Vallarta, is, simply put. . . Heaven on Earth. My lovely new wife Angi and I shared our honeymoon there in September of 2004. . . We WILL be going back just as soon as possible. The swim-up bars, huge buffets, and Cuban cigars were simply too much for me to handle, but I had a great time trying to keep up with Angi! We met two great American couples there that we still keep in touch with to this day! If you have the chance, make sure the Riu Jalisco becomes part of your permanent memory banks. . . .just like it has become for us!!"
