Caneel Bay invites you to 'disconnect' in pristine natural surroundings and low-key luxury. The exclusive resort, nestled within the Virgin Islands National Park on St. John, remains faithful to the vision of founder Laurance Rockefeller and his reverence for the environment. Seven secluded white sand beaches border 170 lush acres where Caneel's accommodations have been artfully built to blend into the landscape. A true escape, the resort remains purposefully absent of modern glitz, digital distractions and the furious pace of the world at home.
Nestled within Caneel’s lush grounds are 166 charming guestrooms that feature truly inspiring views. Each intimate retreat has been thoughtfully decorated with natural woods, native stone, hand-crafted furniture and richly woven fabrics. The resort features three restaurants and two bars and offers such leisure activities as watersports, tennis, shopping, sunset cruises, massages, hiking and island tours. Children are entertained at Turtle Town while adults restore mind and body balance at the Self Centre.
Within Caneel Bay?s unspoiled landscape are 166 unique guestrooms that have been exquisitely renovated with the natural woods and native stone to reflect the island?s abundant beauty. Hand-crafted furniture, richly woven fabrics, plush reading chairs, commissioned artwork and tiled bathrooms impart an air of the exotic. Accenting each guestroom are louvered walls, open picture windows and ceiling fans that take advantage of St. John?s renowned trade winds. Additionally, all rooms have patios or balconies offering spectacular views of the beaches and gardens.
All guestrooms include sitting area, fully stocked refrigerator/mini-bar, in-room safe, individually controlled air-conditioning and ceiling fan, alarm clocks, bathrobes and slippers, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and umbrella.
