Established in 1969 by Robert Redford as an experiment in environmental stewardship and artistic expression, Sundance is truly a place of vision. On the slopes of 12,000 foot Mt. Timpanogos, Sundance offers the best of all seasons: abundant Utah powder in the winter, lush spring and summer landscapes, as well as the ignition of brilliant fall colors. Our lodging is a collection of rustic western architecture that is a reflection of, rather than an intrusion upon the landscape. Our interiors are warm, decorated in the colors of the land. Cottages are luxurious with all of the amenities needed to feel right at home. They are tucked into the woods or alongside a mountain stream.

An earth-to-table philosophy is integrated into all Sundance eating venues. The Tree Room is intimate and candlelit with it's walls hung with Native American memorablia from Robert Redford's personal collection. The Foundry Grill serves western cooking from a wood burning oven and rotisserie while the Sundance Deli offers delectable items in the setting of an old country store. The Owl Bar features items from the Foundry Grill in the original 1890's rosewood bar favored by Butch Cassidy's Hole-in-the-Wall Gang.
