The Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort was formerly known as the Kona Surf Hotel for many years. In 2004, the resort was purchased by Starwood's Sheraton Resort collection. After a two-year, $70 million renovation, a grand opening was celebrated on April 8, 2005. The resort is now a fabulous place to vacation. Situated on a cliff above the Pacific, the Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort is romantic and picturesque.
The 521 sleeping rooms are fairly large with 420 sq ft of space on average. The rooms have been fitted with the new Sheraton Sweet Sleeper bed -- featuring a custom plush top mattress, a cloud-like duvet and five deluxe pillows.
The resort boasts a 14,100 sq ft pool. The Manta Ray Super Slide & Pool treats guests to a waterslide and multi-level system of pools unlike any other resort pool area in Hawaii. There are two whirlpools tucked within lush landscaping and a river system that connects the tiered pool. A sandy bottom children's pool includes a sandy beach area for play.
Keauhou is Hawaiian for "new beginning." It's easy to discover why the name is so fitting for the new Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort.

"The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and went above-and-beyond many times during my stay. The food was fabulous as was the luau, which had super great food and excellent entertainment!
