Rating: 5 Star
Location: 425 Waikoloa Beach Drive
Kohala Coast, Big Island Hawaii
Facilities: 1240 Rooms, Three 6 Floor Buildings, Air Conditioning, 3 Pools, Jacuzzis, 6 Restaurants, 8 Cocktail Lounges, Kohala Health Spa, 8 Tennis Courts, Exercise Room
Comments:
The Hilton Waikoloa Village Hotel is an extravagant resort. It consumes 7% of the entire islands electricity. It stretches out over 62 acres of ocean-front land. Lavish gardens, electronically controlled waterfalls. It has trams, trains, and cabin cruisers to ferry guests around this huge hotel complex. While the Hilton Waikoloa Village is an ocean-front resort, the beach is man made and on the lagoon and not open ocean. However it has 3 pools, the largest of which covers almost an acre. It also has 6 restaurants. 8 cocktail lounges, and 8 tennis courts. The Hilton Waikoloa Village is a great Family Hawaii Resort that has a program where you can swim with the dolphins. But due to the extreme popularity of the dolphin program, it is not always available. Great hotel for kids and families! The Hilton Waikoloa Village is a very popular resort on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Remarks:
"We had to walk an awful lot! Tram was not working. Boats were not working. Big lines when working. Resort was spread out for walking. Pool closest to our room was down from noon to well into the eveing one evening. However, the big pool was wonderful. The waterfall was fun for the kids. The Luau was very nice. Food and water a bit over priced but food was good. I would like to rename the resort Walkalotta because we seemed to spend (alota) time walking. On average to get from our room to main lobby about 30 min. seemed like we would never get there. On certain days they had a punch out in the main lobby. I would suggest that everyday they have that out due to the long walks. I would also suggest trying to get a second tram going so one goes one way and the other the other way. If you missed the tram (when it was working) going a certain way, it was a very long wait. At peak times, sometimes you could not get a seat. Over all the grounds and view are wonderful. The rooms large and comfortable and the beds spectacular!!! "
