Queen Mary 2 Description:
In January 2004,
Queen Mary 2 made her debut as a Queen among Queens, a worthy successor to such great transatlantic liners as
Queen Mary,
Queen Elizabeth and today's
Queen Elizabeth 2.
Once the only bridge between Europe and America, these graceful leviathans have earned their own place in history. They helped to shape the social and economic climates of their day by providing an opulent lifestyle for celebrities and tastemakers, transporting millions of emigrants to find new lives in the New World, and serving their country during both world wars.
The magnificent new
Queen Mary 2 will carry this heritage into the 21st century. Stylish, grand and representing the pinnacle of maritime achievement, she is destined to become an icon of our time.
