Club Med Cancun has been totally reconstructed since Hurricane Wilma. Club Med Cancun is now a club for the whole family. It has a complete kid's club for youngsters and separate club for teens. In the makeover, the club was outfitted with a Flying Trapeze for the kids and young at heart. The resort is on the eastern most shore of Punta Nizuc, away from the tourist hotel strip, but not too far away from the nightlife. Nightly entertainment at the Club Med Cancun village is extremely popular with the guests. Club Med Cancun offers the charm of an ocean-front Caribbean resort, with ancient Mayan temples and pyramids at Chichen Itza and Tulum, and the sacred swimming lagoons of Xcaret and Xel-Ha. There's a rumor that the sand in Cancun is air-conditioned because it never gets hot. Actually, it's the color of the sand...or lack of it. It's snow white coral sand and does not retain the heat as much. Speaking of the beach at Club Med Cancun, it is protected from the elements by a barrier reef which provides phenomenal snorkeling. Club Med Cancun is a great all-inclusive resort for families.
