12-night Caribbean Cruise
Description:
12-night Caribbean Cruise sailing roundtrip from Miami. Yes, it is glorious - from the moment you step aboard and receive your welcoming mimosa. And what could be better than canapés each afternoon and a nightly treat on your pillow? For those wishing to stay fit, Azamara offers yoga at sunset, Pilates classes, and a world-class Spa and Wellness Center featuring exclusive Elemis treatments (there also happens to be an outdoor spa and relaxation room). If you choose, enrich yourself with lectures by renowned speakers or simply retire to your stateroom, filled with brilliant touches. There is, of course, butler service to satisfy your every whim, and they offer in-room spa services, too. Those with a passion for delectable dining will adore the two onboard specialty restaurants; they're the finest at sea. Or, you may find a quiet corner in the piano bar and reminisce about your day. And, the live entertainment rivals those in big cities and offers a variety of music and genres. Yes, it's easy to tell you of all the wonderful amenities Azamara has to offer, but you simply have to live it to truly comprehend it. Day 4 - St. Croix
The largest U.S. Virgin Island, St. Croix, was originally founded by the Danish. Naturally, it abounds with beaches, water sports and sightseeing opportunities. But it also offers the visitor two fascinating towns. Christiansted, the largest, has an impressive historic district, outdoor market and bustling harbor. Seventeen miles away, Frederiksted, another harbor town, delights with Victorian architecture, a fort, even an aquarium. The European charm of these cities creates a enchanting contrast with the island's tropical beaches, bluffs, harbors, cays and coves.
Day 5 - St. John
The yacht-filled harbor of Cruz Bay hugs a tiny strip of land between the mountains and the sea. This is your entry to the pristine island sanctuary of tiny St. John, the most beautiful of the Virgin Islands, surrounded by some of the most spectacular aquamarine waters in the Caribbean.
Day 6 - Basseterre, St. Kitts
Basseterre, St. Kitts’ capital, still shows signs of colonial architecture. However, its setting against the emerald green hills ensures a distinct Caribbean ambiance. Many travelers agree Basseterre is one of the prettiest of the Caribbean’s small capitals.
Day 7 - Fort de France
Set in a large bay on the leeward side of the island looking out onto the Caribbean sea, Fort de France became the capital of Martinique when St Pierre was wiped out by the eruption of the volcano Montagne Pelée in 1902.
The town has mushroomed from less than 10,000 inhabitants at the time of the eruption to its current level of nearly 100,000 people. The historical centre grew around the strategic point of the Fort Saint Louis, which was first established in 1638. There are numerous cultural and historical places of interest in Fort-de-France, as well as a wide choice of quality shops, restaurants, cafes and bars, selling French and Creole products. English is widely spoken and understood, and US Dollars are accepted in most outlets.
Day 8 - Pointe A Pitre
On Grand Terre, you'll marvel at the gorgeous beaches, and be thrilled by the great shopping and Parisian charm of Point-a-Pitre.
Day 9 - Marigot, St. Martin
Marigot is the French side of the magnificent island of St. Thomas. Its amenities provide for one of the most exhilarating experiences in the Caribbean. Sailing buffs can join in a real race on a pair of multi-million dollar America's Cup Yachts, for a 12-meter "mini-regatta."
Day 10 - Virgin Gorda
Enjoy the fabulous underwater world of the British Virgin Islands. For those who wish to get wet and enjoy the thrill of viewing coral formation and other marine life without diving, you can take a professionally guided snorkel tour of the famous Norman Island underwater sea caves and the Indian Reef. Cruise along Sir Francis Drake Channel to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda. Or take a short drive to the baths at Spring Bay for swimming, snorkeling and sunning amid the mammoth boulders and sea caves for which the area is well known. The only viewing gear you need are your eyes!
